Milia Mountain Retreat

A mountain eco-lodge established in 1994 by two local families based upon the ruins of the medieval settlement of Milia (which means apple tree in Greek).
The location is remote in the heart of a mountain Valley on western Crete surrounded by Chestnuts, oaks, Olives, and arbutus on one thousand five hundred acres of pure nature.
Houses kept the original style of the past and were made from stone & wood.
For those looking to spend creative time in nature and experience a sustainable living.
Energy comes from solar, water from a natural spring, and a part of the food we offer in the restaurant comes from our production.
Of course, all the basic amenities are here, like excellent mattresses and quality linen, hot water, a minimum of lightning, charge a phone, internet connection, central heating, and warm duvets for the winter season.  
The area is 40 to 60 min, far from some of the most popular beaches in the Chania region, like Elafonisi, Falasarna, etc.
For those who love hiking the area has more than 5 different trails between 3 to 14km.
